Terms of service

These terms apply when you use cookumber.in or place an order with Amsarathinam Sekar (trading as COOKUMBER) (“COOKUMBER”, “we”, “us”). By using the service you agree to them.

What we sell

COOKUMBER delivers fresh, uncooked ingredients that are cleaned, cut and portioned for a recipe, together with a cooking guide. We do not sell cooked or ready-to-eat food. You are responsible for cooking the ingredients properly and safely.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older and give accurate details, including a phone number where we can reach you.
• You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at support@cookumber.in if you think it has been misused.

Orders and prices

• Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The amount shown at checkout is the amount charged.
• A delivery fee of ₹30 applies, waived on orders above ₹119. The minimum order value is ₹119.
• An order is confirmed only after the payment is successful. We may decline or cancel an order (with a full refund) if an item is unavailable, the address is outside our area, or the order looks fraudulent.
• Ingredient weights are approximate; fresh produce varies naturally.

Delivery

We deliver within 2 km of our Kammanahalli kitchen in Bengaluru, usually in about 20 minutes. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. See our delivery policy.

Allergies and food safety

• Ingredients are prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, gluten and other allergens. Check the ingredient list and contact us before ordering if you have an allergy.
• Cook ingredients the same day, or refrigerate them if not cooking within 2 hours. Follow the cooking guide, and cook meat, eggs and poultry thoroughly.
• Cooking involves heat, sharp tools and hot oil. Take normal kitchen care; we are not responsible for injuries or damage caused while cooking.

Cooking guides and content

Recipes, guides, photos, videos and the COOKUMBER name and logo belong to us. You may use them for your own cooking but not copy or republish them.

Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the service: no false orders, abuse of our staff, attempts to break our systems, or use for unlawful purposes.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
